Gaza at Work is a multimedia project filmed over the summer of 2017 by an international and Palestinian crew. The five-part series shows there is more to Gaza than tragedy and conflict. Despite blockade and humanitarian catastrophe, beauty, resilience and humour can also be found in abundance within the coastal enclave.
Gaza at Work tells the stories of Wissam the doctor, Salwar the kindergarten bus driver, Mustafa the potter, Eid the strawberry farmer and Samera the driving instructor, through the lens of their working days. These extraordinary characters offer a unique understanding of a much misrepresented place and provide a rare and unique window into the soul of a Gaza that is vibrant, dynamic and desperate for peace.
